Today, Monday, October 16, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Finance during his visit to the university, in order to support the transition to a digital society, achieve financial inclusion, and stimulate the use of electronic means and channels for payment within the framework of the State’s Vision 2030. Which was initiated by the Ministry of Finance with the (GPS) system, meaning the shift from paper checks to the electronic payments system, and the (GfMIS) system to automate the accounting units at the level of the Republic and the state’s general budget, which bore fruit through increasing the tightness of control over disbursement and increasing efficiency and effectiveness in managing the state’s resources, in implementation According to the directives of Professor Dr. Mohamad Moet, Minister of Finance, and Professor Dr. Ihab Abu Aesh, Deputy Minister of Finance. At the beginning of the meeting, the University President welcomed the delegation of the Ministry of Finance, then the meeting touched on: Discussing the strengthening of cooperation in various fields, which will benefit the highest completion rate of financial work at the university. The delegation included Mr. Saeed Mohamad Abdullah, Mr. Ashraf Mamdouh Helmy, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Sayed Mohamad, Mr. Hussein Kamel, and Mr. Ibrahim Hussein Ibrahim. In the presence of Dr. Ismail Youssef, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance in Damietta, Ms. Naglaa Saad, General Manager of Accounting Units, and Ms. Hoda Abd Al-Bari, Financial Controller in New Damietta, Mr. Ikramy El-Desouki, General Director of Accounting Units for the General Administration of the University.
