Today, Monday, October 23, 2023, the President of Damietta University witnessed a reception ceremony for new students at the Faculty of Commerce in Hall ( A )on the university campus. In the presence of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybany, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Yasser Samra, Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mohamad Shehab, Vice President of the College for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Lamia Saeed Al-Salanti, Vice President of the College for Community Affairs and Environmental Service, and Professor Dr. Mostafa Mohamad Al-Kerdawiy Vice Dean of the College for Postgraduate Studies and Research. Gentlemen, faculty members, supporting staff, and male and female students of the college. The activities began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. After that, there were speeches by Professor Dr. Muhammad Shehab, Professor Dr. Yasser Samra, and Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybany, during which they welcomed the first-year students. They also stressed that the university values ??the educational process and seeks to graduate distinguished students and the necessity of participating in student activities and adhering to the organized schedule of lectures. During the university president’s speech, His Excellency welcomed, male and female students of the college. He explained the interest and support of President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in developing education, both university and pre-university, out of his belief in the utmost necessity of providing the latest and highest levels of education to the Egyptian citizen in a way that contributes to achieving comprehensive development goals and creating a sustainable boom in the quality of life and standards of living for citizens. The university president assured the students of his confidence in the awareness and culture of Egypt's youth and the students of Damietta University not to be led by the claims of skeptics and destructive rumours. He explained that the college qualifies its graduates with the latest curricula and electronic courses, to keep pace with modern developments in the labor market, to qualify graduates to obtain distinguished job opportunities for graduates of Damietta University.
