Honoring the top and most talented people at the Excellence and Creativity Day ceremony at Damietta University

                  Today, Monday, October 24, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, witnessed the Excellence and Creativity Day of Damietta University, which was held in Farouk Shousha Hall on the university campus, in the presence of Professor Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, and Major General Mohamed Abd Al Badie, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority in Damietta. Brigadier General Engineer Haitham Abdo, Military Advisor to the Governorate, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Bassiouni, Administrative Control, Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybani, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Eng. Ali Abd Al Raouf, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Damietta, Members of the House of Representatives and Senate, Deans of Colleges at the University, and Representatives, And a number of representatives of different groups of people. The activities began with the opening of an exhibition that included a number of artistic works and handmade products for the gifted, home economics, computers, and art education. Some models of the work of the University’s Gifted Center were also displayed. The Dean of the College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence gave a simplified explanation of some of the college’s departments, including robot manufacturing and programming. Then He accompanied by the distinguished guests, went to Farouk Shousha Hall to begin the honoring ceremony. It began with the national anthem, then with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, after that a singing segment and patriotic music on the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious October victory celebrations, then a theatrical operetta performance entitled (In Love with Egypt) presented by the students of the Gifted Center, then a video showing of Professor Dr. Zahi Hawass, the former Minister of Antiquities, speaking. It talks about the beauty and splendor of Damietta University and that Damietta University is one of the distinguished universities. He also called on all students in the Arab world to come to Damietta University because of its distinguished capabilities in terms of education and infrastructure. After that, there was a speech by Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybany, in which he welcomed the guests, and stressed that the university administration is keen to provide all logistical services to students, and to provide an educational climate that helps keep pace with the latest global developments, pointing to the university’s interest in enhancing students’ entrepreneurial capabilities and competitive capabilities, wishing them More luck and success. This was followed by address by Major General Mohamed Abd Al Badie, in which he welcomed the attendees. He also expressed his great happiness at his presence at this ceremony. He also stressed that Damietta University has the ability, in a short time, to be one of the most important local universities and compete with international universities. He also directed the necessity of adhering to knowledge and arming ourselves. We adhere to ethics and adhere to authentic Egyptian traditions, and honoring the top graduates indicates the Egyptian state’s interest in education, and this appears in all the equipment that the state has spent on through the appearance of Damietta University in this beautiful manner. This was followed by address by Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, in which he welcomed the honorable members of the podium and the distinguished guests of the university. He congratulated the outstanding students from the university, as among them were distinguished minds who produced and created, deserving of thanks and appreciation. He also asked them to be keen to seek knowledge, always acquire knowledge, and complete the path of knowledge with postgraduate studies in order to build A better future for our beloved country. He stressed that this batch of the first graduates is special, as they were honored for the first time by President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. Which reflects the extent of the interest that the Egyptian state gives to the educational process and supports its pillars to graduate a new generation capable of facing challenges and creating the future, and this appears in the huge amount of spending that the Egyptian state spent to become Damietta University in its current form of distinguished laboratories, amphitheaters, and research centers. The university is also witnessing a distinguished event today to honor The top graduates are also honoring the student, Yomna Ayyad, who qualified for the Paris Olympics, the first Egyptian player to qualify in boxing, and honoring the researcher Yasmine Yahya for the international research she presented in earth sciences and geology, and honoring a number of distinguished people from the university’s Center for the Gifted. Then there was address by Professor Dr. Manal Awad, in which she welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed her enthusiasm for her presence at Damietta University, and that it is considered one of the best universities in the Republic. She also congratulated the top and outstanding students, who achieved advanced positions thanks to the efforts of the parents and professors at the university. She also thanked the students’ parents. And those responsible for the educational process at the university for their good follow-up of their children, which played a major role in their excellence. At the end of the celebration of Excellence and Creativity Day, the University President presented the University Shield to Professor Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, presented the University Shield to Major General Mohamed Abd Al Badie, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority in Damietta, and presented the University Shield to Brigadier General Eng. Haitham Abdo, the Military Advisor to Damietta Governorate, in appreciation of their effective efforts and fruitful cooperation. And building with the university, and Dr. Mohammad Anwar Al-Orabi was honored for obtaining the first doctoral thesis in the Faculty of Law among the modern faculties of the university. Certificates of appreciation were also presented and honoring the first graduates of the university’s faculties and a number of those who excelled in the sports and scientific fields.
