The University President witnesses the launching of the Second Field Army Sports Championship

             Within the framework of continued cooperation between the Second Field Army Command and Damietta University, and within the framework of the Armed Forces’ celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the victories of the glorious October War ,today, Saturday, September 16, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, Acting President of Damietta University, witnessed the launching of the sports tournament activities in the games (football - volleyball - padel, tennis - squash) in the period from September 16 to October 5, 2023 at the sports center under the leadership of the Second Field Army. In the presence and honor of Mr. Major General A.H. Mohammad Abd Al-Rahman Rabie, Commander of the Second Field Army, and the presidents of the participating universities. The university participates with a number of sports teams in various championship competitions. It also participated in the opening of the championship and the parade queue with the participation of the universities of (Damietta - Al-Arish - Suez Canal - Horus - Mansoura - Port Said - Sinai - Delta). On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwaly, President of the University, on behalf of himself and all the university employees, extends his sincere congratulations. My heart goes out to President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the occasion of the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the victories of the glorious October War. He also extends his congratulations to Mr. Major General A.H./Mohamad Abd Al Rahman Rabie, Commander of the Second Field Army, and to Mr. Major General Walid Hamaky Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, on the occasion of the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the victories of the glorious October War, as the university is always honored by the fruitful and constructive cooperation with its armed forces to consolidate national values.
