Today, Monday, November 6, 2023, Professor Dr. Hamdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, met with faculty members and the supporting staff at the College of Arts, to discuss the college’s plan towards accrediting its programs in accordance with quality standards, and to review a number of topics and issues pertaining to the college in the current and future period. In the presence of Professor Dr. Attia Al-Kolaly Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mohammad Omran, Director of Quality Management at the University, Professor Dr. Hamed Al-Far, the Quality Assurance Unit at the College, the deputies, department heads, faculty members, and the supporting staff, and it was held in Amphitheater 104 at the university headquarters. During the university president’s address ; His Excellency welcomed the attendees, including deputies, department heads, and faculty members at the college, and emphasized the university administration’s keenness to keep up with quality and excellence standards, and implement the university’s culture of quality. In line with Egypt's Vision 2030 ; In applying the quality standards of higher education, he pointed out that the university places as its top priorities: Harnessing all means of financial and logistical support; For institutional accreditation of its colleges and academic programs, he explained: The university adopts standards that are compatible with the developmental needs of society, which achieve the advancement of scientific research, improve the quality of its outputs, and increase its competitive capabilities. Locally, regionally, and internationally. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, stressed the necessity of holding successive meetings with the college departments to demand the necessity of implementing quality assurance systems and accreditation standards to raise the efficiency of the institutional capacity and educational effectiveness of the college The President of the University also stressed the importance of the role of the university’s administrative apparatus in achieving the university’s plan and in the process of reform and development, calling for continued work in order to reach a competent administrative apparatus. At the conclusion of his visit, His Excellency listened to some proposals submitted by professors of the Faculty of Arts to improve its work.
