Damietta University hosts the second dairy industry forum, “A New Era for Safety.”

       Within the framework of implementing the directives of His Excellency President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, in which he directed to link the scientific research system and its specialized research centers with the university education sector and provide all facilities for preparing innovative research and studies in order to participate in formulating scientific solutions to the challenges facing the Egyptian state, and national development projects in all fields. Today, Sunday, November 19, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, witnessed the Second Forum. The Second Forum for Dairy Industry in the Damietta Chamber of Commerce “A New Era for Food Safety,” which is held under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamad Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Research. Al-Alami, His Excellency Mr. Engineer Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, His Excellency Professor Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University. The forum is hosted by Damietta University and organized by the University’s Graduate Studies and Research Sector, led by the Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research and the College of Agriculture, under the Deanship of Professor Dr. Al-Metwally Mostafa Selim, and coordinated by Professor Dr. Mohamad Nour El-Din Farid, Professor of Dairy, Vice President of the College of Agriculture for Postgraduate Studies and Research, in partnership with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. The Industrial Modernization Center and the Food Industries Chamber. In the presence and honor of His Excellency Professor Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, Mr. Major General Mohamed Abd Al Badie, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority in Damietta, and Professor Dr. Montaser Dowidar, President of Samanoud Technological University. Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybani, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Abd Al Moneim Katilo, Head of the Dairy Industry Division of the Damietta Chamber of Commerce, Professor Mohamed Fayed, President of the Damietta Chamber of Commerce, Professor Ashraf Al-Gazairly, President of the Food Industries Chamber, and Professor Doaa Salima. The opening session of the forum was moderated by Professor Dr. Al-Metwaly Salim, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, which witnessed the speeches of Mr. Abd Al Moneim Katilo, Mr. Mohamad Fayed, Mr. Ashraf Al-Gazaiy, Ms. Doaa Salima, Mr. Dr. Khaled Al-Sufi, and Dr. Tarek Al-Houby, who emphasized during their speeches On the importance of developing the dairy industry and overcoming the challenges facing this industry, which represents an important economic value within various economic activities. During the speech of Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, His Excellency stressed the importance of holding this forum in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the President, which would develop the dairy sector industry in a scientific manner. He also conveyed the thanks of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the attendees for their keenness to be present today in the confines of Damietta University. To discuss ways to overcome the challenges of the dairy sector through the academic sector and all its institutions (universities, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, institutes and research centres). The President of the University also thanked and appreciated all those attending today’s forum, which is one of the efforts of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamad Ayman Ashour and His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Samir to implement the directives of the political leadership in linking scientific research with the industrial sector. The university president pointed out the necessity of linking scientific research with industry and contributing to finding scientific and technical solutions to the actual problems of the dairy industry through applied scientific research and implementing it on the ground in cooperation with the industrial sector. Emphasizing the importance of helping university faculty members and researchers develop purposeful research programs that are consistent with the university’s vision and strategic plan, consistent with Egypt’s Vision 2030, and achieving its comprehensive development goals. The university president pointed out the necessity of linking scientific research with industry and contributing to finding scientific and technical solutions to the actual problems of the dairy industry through applied scientific research and implementing it on the ground in cooperation with the industrial sector. Emphasizing the importance of helping university faculty members and researchers develop purposeful research programs that are consistent with the university’s vision and strategic plan, consistent with Egypt’s Vision 2030, and achieving its comprehensive development goals. The university president pointed out the necessity of linking scientific research with industry and contributing to finding scientific and technical solutions to the actual problems of the dairy industry through applied scientific research and implementing it on the ground in cooperation with the industrial sector. Emphasizing the importance of helping university faculty members and researchers develop purposeful research programs that are consistent with the university’s vision and strategic plan, consistent with Egypt’s Vision 2030, and achieving its comprehensive development goals. At the conclusion of the forum, it was agreed to start implementing scientific ideas by workers in the dairy sector according to specific standards and a time plan with main objectives by receiving researchers in their factories in order to practically apply their ideas to the production process and improve it according to the targeted plan.
