The university president participates in the Fulbright Egypt program for university leaders

             Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, participated in the launching activities of the University Leadership Program, which is organized by the Fulbright Commission, in Sahl Hasheesh in Hurghada, with the participation of higher education leaders and presidents of Egyptian universities, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ayman Ashour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Commission, and Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission. In the presence of the US Ambassador to Egypt, Jonathan Cohen, and members of the Fulbright Commission’s Board of Directors: Lauren Lovelace, Cultural Advisor at the US Embassy in Cairo, Dr. Haitham Hamza, Head of the Central Department of Scholarships at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Raymond Miller, the founding partner of Raafat Miller Consulting Company. The university president explained that the university leadership program in Hurghada discusses a number of topics that would contribute to raising the efficiency of university education, such as entrepreneurship and stimulating innovation and support the idea of ??establishing business incubators .The program includes lectures and discussions to benefit from the experiences and expertise of American professors in enhancing the role of universities in entrepreneurship and exploiting the resources available in universities in order to achieve sustainable development at all levels. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie indicated that the university is already adopting the best practices from both academic and practical aspects through education and training for students in various specializations needed by the labor market. It is worth noting that the Egypt Fulbright Commission was established in 1949 at the initiative of former Senator J. William Fulbright, whose vision was “to achieve greater knowledge, greater awareness, and more compassionate engagement with the affairs of the world.” The Fulbright Commission in Egypt is one of the largest and oldest commissions in the Middle East, and one of several cultural exchange programs for the United States that aims to provide scholarships and scholarships to enhance opportunities for exchanging experiences, and to open various fields in academic and research aspects with the Commission.
