Today, March 5, 2024, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, witnessed part of the activities of the awareness-raising symposium organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector in cooperation with the Fund for Combating Addiction and Abuse, entitled “You are stronger than drugs.” Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Al-Metwally Mustafa Selim, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Professor Dr. Youssr Ezz Al-Rijal, Deputy of the Faculty of Archeology for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Professor Ayman Al-Afandy Head of the Volunteer Unit of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse in Damietta, lectured. The objectives of the symposium were to introduce synthetic drugs and their types of drugs, pharmaceutical drugs, and manufacturing materials that have no medical use and are the most widespread, their risks and psychological, physical and social harm, and to raise awareness of methods of drug prevention to avoid falling into the trap of addiction. Participating in the symposium were Professor Dr. Hatem Idris, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Professor Dr. Mohamad Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Samir El Gamal, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Dr. Abdo Abaza, Vice President of the Faculty of Antiquities for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al Hamid Shehab, Secretary General of the University. .
