Today, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, witnessed the activities of a faculty training course on supporting people of determination under the title “Universal Design for Education,” within the framework of cooperation between the university, the American AMIDEAST Foundation, and the United States Agency for International Development. Within the joint cooperation agreement to support the service center for students with disabilities at the university. The university president stressed that Damietta University takes care of its students with special needs and is keen to overcome any obstacles or difficulties they may face, while providing them with all facilities, within the framework of the directives of the political leadership to support them. It is worth noting that Damietta University was chosen among fifteen Egyptian universities to implement a cooperation protocol with the American AMIDEAST Foundation to establish a service center for students with disabilities and improve the services provided to them since they joined the university.
