The University President witnesses the University's celebration of World Teacher's Day

           Within the framework of the activities of the UNESCO Club at the university, today, Wednesday, October 18, 2023 AD, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwaly, President of the University, witnessed the university’s celebration on the occasion of World Teacher’s Day, which was held in the auditorium of the College of Specific Education, where he was received by Professor Dr. Mohamad Amasha, Dean of the College of Specific Education, the deputies, and members of the College of Specific Education. Teaching at the college and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abd Al Fattah Al Zeki, coordinator of the UNESCO Club at Damietta University. On the sidelines of the visit, the President of the University opened the Art Education and Home Economics Exhibition and expressed his great happiness at the level of works designed by the college’s male and female students and the organization of the exhibition. He also praised the works presented by the Home Economics Department and the method of recycling some used clothes and developing new ideas to reuse them again. After that, he headed to the college auditorium, where he began with the Republican Anthem, then verses from the Holy Qur’an, then address from the gentlemen attending, namely Professor Ali Abd Al Raouf, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Damietta, and  address by Professor Dr. Ahmed Abd Al Fattah El Zeki, coordinator of the UNESCO Club at Damietta University, then address by Professor Dr. Mohamad Amasha, Dean of the College. Specific education and the address of Professor Dr. Amany Awad, Dean of the College of Education, and the address of Professor Dr. Osama Zidan, former Dean of the College of Specific Education, in which they talked about the importance of the role of the teacher. After that, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, spoke in which he thanked the attending faculty members, administrators, male and female students. He also greeted the distinguished teachers, guests of Damietta University, that no matter what developments and technology occur in learning, the human element will remain the most important element in the educational process, and therefore we find The influence of the teacher is very great, directly and indirectly, and today we celebrate this day and respect, honor and appreciate the teacher. At the end of the celebration, a number of distinguished teachers were honored at the level of schools in Damietta Governorate. It is worth noting that World Teachers Day aims to focus on “appreciating, evaluating and improving teachers in the world” and providing an opportunity to consider issues related to teachers and teaching.
