Today, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, welcomed Professor Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta. This comes within the activities of the Day of Excellence and Creativity at Damietta University for the academic year 2023. At the beginning of the meeting, the University President welcomed the Governor of Damietta to Damietta University, praising the extent of cooperation between all parties to serve the educational process.

During the meeting, Professor Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, expressed her happiness at being in this great scientific edifice, which is a beacon of knowledge for the people of the governorate. The meeting discussed ways of joint cooperation between the university and the governorate in various educational and societal fields, and the importance of solidarity between various Egyptian state institutions to achieve sustainable development plans, and contribute to the implementation of presidential initiatives aimed at improving the level of services provided to citizens.

The meeting was attended by Major General Mohammad Abd Al Badie, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority in Damietta, Brigadier General Engineer Haitham Abdo, the Military Advisor, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Bassiouny in the Administrative Control Authority, and Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybani, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
