Damietta University participates in the 100 Days of Health campaign

       Within the framework of the initiative of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and the 100 Health Days campaign, which was launched by the Ministry of Health and Population to check on the health of the individual, which was held on the Damietta University campus to inspect the faculty members and administrators. Today, Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, inspected the medical examination and provision of services for the 100 Days of Health initiative (health awareness and education services about the services of public health initiatives provided by the campaign and early detection services for chronic diseases (diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease). Free tests and women’s health support services include (awareness of breast self-examination, clinical breast examination, reproductive health awareness, early detection services for cancerous tumors, colon, lung, cervical, and prostate cancer) through trained medical teams. He was accompanied by Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybani, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Al-Sayed Abd Al-Gawad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Damietta, and Professor Dr. Basem Al-Deek, Vice President of the College of Medicine for Community Service Affairs. The university president stressed that the presidential initiative is a national project, because the state is combating through the initiative most of the diseases that Egyptians have suffered over many years, describing “100 days of health” as a great challenge and an epic, not only at the level of Egypt, but the entire world, explaining that The campaign works to focus on Beninan, the Egyptian citizen, especially since human health is the backbone of the nation and Egypt’s economy. He praised the demand for screening places, and he directed the need to spread the necessary propaganda and awareness about the campaign in all colleges and motivate workers and students to participate effectively and positively, recognizing the importance of health and preserving it, while providing all support for the success of the initiative.
