Today, Monday, November 27, 2023, Professor Dr. Hamdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, welcomed a delegation from the Archdiocese Church in Damietta, which included Father Murcos Mahrous Youssef, Secretary of the Damietta Archdiocese, Engineer Imad Adeeb, and Professor Maher William Aziz, who came to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and relations with the church. Congratulations to His Excellency on the occasion of the issuance of the President of the Republic’s decision appointing him as President of Damietta University. The President of the University expressed his happiness with this visit and his appreciation for the close cooperation and permanent communication witnessed by the relations with the Egyptian Church, in order to preserve the Egyptian identity, exchange experiences, and develop relations and interdependence between the people of one nation and civil society, stressing the activation of cooperation frameworks and links in areas of common interest with all. The parties, whose priorities are national development and the Egyptian Vision 2030, and raising community awareness of developmental and educational issues and acceptance of others, which have a great positive impact in spreading bonds of love, brotherhood and tolerance among all sects of the Egyptian people under the rational and wise leadership of President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
