Completing the university’s initiative, "We Will Participate" with the participation of the faculties of Education and Science

            In continuation of the” We Will Participate ” initiative at Damietta University to support political leadership, activities were held on the third day of the “We Will Participate” initiative in the faculties of Education and Science in order to educate their students and university members about the importance of participating in the upcoming presidential elections. Today, Thursday, November 30, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, witnessed the launching of the activities of the third day of Damietta University’s “We Will Participate” initiative to support political leadership, which was held at the College of Education Theater and with the participation of the College of Science. In the presence of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybany, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Amany Awad, Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Mohamad Ismail Abu Dobbara, Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mahdi, Head of the Department of Public Law at the College of Law, deputies, faculty members, administrators, and students. College of Specific Education and students of the College of Science. The activities began with the national anthem, then verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a video presentation about the achievements of the Egyptian state during the past nine years and its achievements in various fields. Then a speech by Professor Dr. Amany Awad, Dean of the College of Education, then a speech by Professor Dr. Mohamad Ismail Abu Dobara, Dean of the College of Science, then a speech by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mahdi, Department of Public Law, College of Law, in which they talked about the necessity of participating in the presidential elections and having a voice and expressing your choice. It reflects the citizen's awareness of the extent of his influence and effective participation by exercising his constitutional right in the 2024 presidential elections. Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybany, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, pointed out that participation in the elections is an affirmation of the principle of citizenship, which means establishing a modern democratic state, by flocking to the voting booths. Then came the speech of Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, in which he expressed the importance of participating in the elections to enhance democracy and diversity and enrich political life because it expresses the citizen’s awareness of the importance of exercising his political rights and a strong message to everyone who is lurking in the Egyptian state from inside and outside at a very sensitive time. The Egyptian state is being hatched from conspiracies everywhere. At the conclusion of the initiative’s activities, the students of the College of Education presented a song, “I Love You, Egypt,” in sign language.
