For the fourth year in a row, Damietta University maintains its progress and achieves a prominent position in the international classification of environmentally friendly green universities UI Green Metric, which measures the extent of universities’ commitment to participating in developing environmentally friendly infrastructure and ranks universities according to sustainable development processes, as the university ranked 554th globally out of a total of 1183 Participating university. It is worth noting that the classification is based on several basic criteria, including geographical location, infrastructure, waste management, confronting climate change, water use, transport and communication, education and scientific research. The university’s achievement of being in advanced positions in international rankings is a result of adopting Egypt’s Vision 2030. In this regard, Mr. Professor Dr. Hamdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, congratulates all the University’s employees and thanks everyone who contributed to achieving this achievement, each in their field, wishing continued commitment to achieve environmental sustainability at the University.
