The University President follows up on the activities of the" 100 Days of Health "initiative held on the university campus

         Within the framework of constructive and fruitful cooperation between the Ministries of Higher Education and Health and Population, cooperation and coordination continue between Damietta University and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Damietta, by implementing the activities of the" 100 Health "Days initiative at the university in order to ensure the health of all university members. Today, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, inspected the activities of the Presidential Initiative “100 Health Days”, which is being held for the fourth day in a row and was allocated to the Colleges of Agriculture and Archeology to detect hypertension, diabetes, kidney disease, tumor markers, and breast self-examination. His Excellency was accompanied by Professor Dr. Al-Metwaly Seleem, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Professor Dr. Yousr Ezz Al-Rigal, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Archeology for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The university president indicated that the campaign comes within the framework of the presidential initiative “100 Million Health” launched by President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to support the health of citizens and raise the level of health services provided to them, stressing that the health sector in Egypt witnessed an unprecedented boom during the era of President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, as he sought To improve the quality of life of citizens and build the Egyptian person to achieve the “Egypt 2030” vision. During the tour, His Excellency inspected screening clinics and health awareness and education initiatives. He continued the presence of medical teams and the availability of all medical tools and supplies necessary to continue providing medical services to the university’s employees, including faculty members, supporting staff, administrators, and students at the university who are attending the campaign that aims to provide protection and comprehensive health care for the Egyptian family. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, also extended his sincere thanks to the Directorate of Health in Damietta, represented by Dr. El-Sayed Abd Al Gawad, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Health Affairs in Damietta, and the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the University for the efforts made to support the initiative within the University. It is worth noting that the initiative at the university was activated for a period of 15 continuous days in order to inspect the largest number of university colleges, and a number of colleges were inspected, including the College of Medicine, the College of Engineering, the College of Archeology, and the College of Agriculture, and a full day was allocated to each college at the university.
