The University President attends a symposium entitled “The Carbon Footprint and Confronting Changes.”

         Today, Monday, November 13, 2023, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, witnessed a symposium entitled “Carbon Footprint and Confronting Climate Change,” which was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the College of Science, in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamad Abu Dobbara, Dean of the College of Science, and Professor Dr. Omnia Al-Batrawy, Vice Dean of the College. For community service and environmental development affairs, and the distinguished faculty members and supporting staff at the college. Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abd Al Majeed Hassan, Professor of Air Pollution, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University, will lecture, Consultant of the United Nations Air Pollution Facility, Advisor to the Minister of Environment on severe air attacks and black clouds. The symposium activities began with the national anthem, then verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the speech of the Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, then the speech of the Dean of the College, which they welcomed and expressed their happiness in the presence of His Excellency the President of the University and welcomed the gentlemen of the audience. During the university president’s speech, he welcomed the attendees from the college. He also welcomed Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abd Al Majeed to Damietta University. He also expressed his happiness at the presence of the Libyan cultural attaché in this symposium at the College of Science. He stressed the importance of the role of the College of Science in scientific research to reduce the effects of climate change. Then His Excellency left to begin the symposium activities, in which Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abd Al Majeed will lecture on the carbon footprint and confronting climate change.
