About the Research Administration

Since Damietta University got officially independent by Presidential Decree No. 19 on 12/7/2012 there has been much interest in the importance of developing the postgraduate and research sector. Consequently, a University Research Account Unit has been established based on a university council decision dated 31/12/2012.

The Unit contributes to carrying out the university policy in the following respects:

-           Developing closer cultural and scientific ties with other universities and scientific bodies at the Arab and international levels and contributing to processes of conducting and funding university research projects.

-            Developing research skills of university staff through conducting research projects.

-           Promoting cooperation between the different university research schools and industrial production centers to boost their productivity and improve the quality of products.

-           Attempting research studies on certain issues that need solutions.

-           Holding scientific conferences and symposia on special environmental disciplines that different faculties at university have in common.

-           Providing an environment conducive to effective dissemination of research findings.

-           Achieving optimal university laboratory performance and recruiting a team of prominent scientists assisted by a permanent body of well-trained technical personnel.

-           Supporting research centers at the university faculties, setting up contracts between the university, faculty members and beneficiaries.

-           Holding specialized scientific training sessions to keep pace with scientific and technological development.
